The Dept. of Useless & Ill-Informed Opinions

Here’s a synopsis of how my day has gone so far:

• Have a ton of stuff due, because I’m doing the better part of two jobs until May or so, but still managed to drag ass this morning & not get here until 9:30.
• I showed up to a global network issue, basically nothing is accessible, meaning I can’t work on my shit.
• Get assigned to a new client, even though I’m already “allocated” around 125%. This is widely acknowledge to be the most difficult customer my company works with. I was called in because in the past I’ve been The Fixer. Need to remember to stop being so good at my job.
• New (and unexpected) stuff gets dropped in my lap. It’s mostly due by 2pm.
• I’ve got someone I know internally asking me to help him out and “have a chat” sometime today to network with some outside salesperson whose project does a lot of business with him.

I’m wondering not only if I’ll have time to eat lunch today, but also what time I might get the hell out of here tonight.

And it’s my birthday.
