The Dept. of Useless & Ill-Informed Opinions

Hey, that’s nice of the New York Times to offer me a discounted rate if I don’t cancel my subscription, isn’t it?
Thing is, I didn’t cancel. This email came unprompted and not in response to a cancelation. On Googling the phone number in the email (I didn’t really think anyone was going to use the Times as a front for a phishing attack, but better safe than sorry), it seems like this email has been going out at random this afternoon to current subscribers, and that as a result this number is absolutely flooded with calls.
Hopefully my paper shows up as normal this Saturday, but really I’m hoping my digital access isn’t suddenly cut off. Seems like they need to get their shit together in the subscriptions department…
